Southern Elevator Company, Inc., owned by Rodney Pitts and Bryant Aydelette since 1991, was founded in 1949 by M.B. Toler. Over the years Southern Elevator has evolved from practically a "one man show" to one of the largest independently owned elevator companies in the Southeast. Our highly trained elevator technicians service and repair all types and brands of elevators throughout Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Every product sold by Southern Elevator must meet our stringent standards for quality and performance as well as customer satisfaction. Each is backed by our Creed of Quality Service. Our products are designed specifically for your elevator needs. We establish specifications and standards that are followed precisely by qualified manufacturers, subject to rigorous inspection by us. All of the materials used in our products are tested and evaluated thoroughly and are selected for their superior performance. Service / Maintenance

We service elevators - all types, sizes and brands. We have two primary types of service contracts:

Full Maintenance –

A plan which covers almost everything that is a result of normal wear and tear. We will service the elevator equipment regularly and repair or replace any item covered under the contract – for no additional charge beyond the monthly fee.

Exam & Lubrication –

For a reduced monthly fee, we will oil and grease the equipment, make minor adjustments and report any potential problems we see to the owner. We will also provide a quote to make repairs that may be required ... at very attractive rates.

Repair

Our technicians are highly trained, both technically and in safety. Each technician must go through industry training and successfully pass the industry’s national certification standard test. Weekly safety meetings keep our technicians abreast of the latest safety procedures.

Therefore, our technicians are highly qualified to maintain and repair all types and brands of elevator equipment. Even if you have a service contract with another company, we can provide quotes for repair or replace your equipment. Give us a call. Modernization

Whether your elevator equipment is obsolete and inefficient, or the elevator cabs, doors and fixtures are worn and unattractive, we provide a complete renovation or just a “face lift” to your existing equipment. We use only “non-proprietary” elevator controls in all our installations and provide fast and reliable service.

We use qualified technicians and quality components to ensure that you enjoy the addition of a lift or elevator to your home for many years. Southern can help you incorporate a lift design in your existing home or for use in new construction.

Commercial Installations

Southern Elevator provides and installs complete traction and hydraulic elevator packages utilizing equipment from Canton, Cemco, Titan, Hollister / Whitney and more.
